Academic Profile

Ioannis Deliyannis is a Professor at the Department of Audio and Visual Arts, Ionian University, where he teaches and researches in the field of analogue and digital technologies of interactive multimedia. He is the founder and director of the Institute for Games Research (IGR) and leads research in the domains of game designAI-driven digital storytellinginteractive installations, and educational technologies.

He holds a PhD in multimedia systems and has significantly contributed to the academic structuring of interdisciplinary programs combining arts, computer science, and humanities. He is the main architect behind the newly established MSc in Game Design and Development, and actively supervises postgraduate and doctoral research focused on AI, transmedia, and serious games.
